Naya Rivera: The “Glee” Actress Missing At California Lake

On July 9, 2020, the former Glee actress Naya Rivera is missing and dreaded to have drowned at a lake in southern California. 

On Wednesday night the rescuers suspended the search at Lake Piru in Ventura County and will be resumed on Thursday morning. 

The  KNBC reported that the 33-year-old entertainer Rivera and her son had leased/rented a boat (pontoon) at the lake and that her 4-year old son, Josey, was found there wearing a life vest (lifejacket). 

Her son Josey is said to have told examiners that his mom was swimming and couldn't make it back to the pontoon. Rivera's recognizable proof was found on the vessel. 

 Eric Buschow, a representative for the Ventura County sheriff's department, said there was "no proof of foul play at this point" and "this likely could be an instance of drowning". 

Rivera's played a role as Santana Powell, cheerleader, in Ryan Murphy's melodic parody Glee, which circulated from 2009 until 2015. 

She was selected for a Grammy alongside her co-stars for the cast's adaptation of Journey's Don't Stop Believin'. Rivera showed up in 113 scenes of the arrangement and dated her co-star Mark Salling, who executed himself in 2018 in the wake of confessing to child sex pornography charges. Another co-star of her from Glee, Cory Monteith, also died in 2013 by over and too much usage of heroin and liquor/alcohol overdose. 

Before the Glee job, Rivera worked as a child/youngster on-screen character on shows including the CBS sitcom The Royal Family, at a small age of four years old. In 2014 Rivera wedded the entertainer Ryan Dorsey, with whom she had her child. They separated in 2018.

Zack Teperman said

Naya Rivera was one of the first people I had the honor of working with back in 2009 when I got into public relations and moved to Hollywood. One of the first people to allow me to give her advice and guide her through those crazy Glee days."
