Marc Batard: Sajid Ali Sadpara Is In Good Hands

Hello from Gorakshep 5150m which is our base camp. We are a team of professionals and amateurs mountaineers on site to open a new route that will avoid the dangerous Everest icefall.

In the team their was Sajid Ali, son of Muhammad Ali Sadpara who was supposed to climb everest with me in 2022 but unfortunately disappeared in the winter 2021 on the K2.

Sajid had a medical problem just before reaching the base camp so he needed to be evacuate. We did everything to make him reach the nearest hospital as soon as possible.

He is now between good hands in Kathmandu. We will continue to fix the equipment on our new route and get back to France in the end of the month, when we will be done.
