A three-men group has started its campaign to summit the world's second-highest mountain (elevated pinnacle), K2 (8,611m). The climbers/mountaineers are John Snorri, 47, from Iceland, Mohammad Ali Sadpara, 44, from Gilgit-Baltistan, and his eldest son, Sajid Ali Sadpara, 21.

K2 has never been scaled/summitted in any winter expedition.
