6th September, Defence Day, is well known as Youm-e-Difa of Pakistan. It is celebrated to remember the efforts and sacrifices made by the brave soldiers of Pakistan while defending the nation. It is Pakistan's national day,6th September is all about the 1965 war between Pakistan and India when the Indian military crossed the borders in the territories of Punjab to launch an attack on Pakistan. It was totally an ambush attack and Pakistan's army was totally unaware and was not expecting such an attack, besides that brave soldiers of Pakistan defended their motherland and made this date a history that will always be remembered by the world.
Celebrations On Defence Day:
6th September is celebrated with great enthusiasm and with great zeal and zest to pay tribute to all those martyrs who sacrificed their lives, for this great cause and for defending their country. The celebrations are really full of respect and love for these martyrs, the celebrations include- National Anthems across the country

- Military parades
- Speeches by President and Prime Minister
- Programs to pay tribute to all martyrs
- Programs to give away awards to Army persons for their performances

The way the Pakistan army is giving its role to protect the country is really admirable, for which almost every poet and singers tried to pay them tribute by their poetry and songs respectively. As Urdu is the national language of Pakistan so they paid our army tribute in the Urdu language.

In short, the main point is, that, we should not forget what our army does for us, they became sleepless in borders so that we can calmly sleep at our homes, they sacrifice their lives so that our lives can be saved.
